I finally sat down to watch 'Chasing Amy' a few weeks ago. The biggest question I keep asking myself is: why did I wait to see it? I am, and have been, a huge fan of Kevin Smith ever since the hilarious 'Clerks.' (I can so relate to Randell. :))
With 'Chasing Amy,' he didn't disappoint me. It's become one of my
favorite movies. To sound cliche, it made me laugh and it made me cry. Even if you're not a straight guy who's in love with a lesbian, it hits pretty close to home dealing with relationships' ups and downs.
It's an amazing movie with incredible acting. Especially the scene in the car where he confesses his love to Alyssa. Sigh. How I long for someone to say that to me! Anyone who's seen the movie knows what I'm talking about. I fell in love with all of the characters-Silent Bob... talking long sentences! Be still my beating heart. What a guy. I highly suggest YOU watching this movie. Kevin Smith is a genius, plain and simple. What I wouldn't do to be able to sit down and have a conversation with this man
over coffee.
